I know this is a multi-sided topic, it depends what you fight for, etc. But still, It's an interesting one and I think it would be good to compress it into one thread for now.
What situations do you think war is good for? Do you think war is sometimes necessary? What do you think should be different about war? Post all that here.
I think that war is sadly, sometimes necessary.
Not all people will listen to words and will try to conquer the world, Adolf *cough* Hitler *cough*, and war is only way to stop them. War is a terrible thing to all sides, and if there was no war at all the world will be much better off, but when dictators come along war is inevitable.

I agree with you on that silver. But my thoughts on War would be that I find it more unecessary that necessary. I mean for one, we are just killing ourselves and turning the eviornment against us by using all of this chemical weapons and such. On the plus side for war, yes some of the other countries will only be happy if they go to war, but they do not just do it for the pleasure (they might), they just might be going to war to protect themselves from getting killed. So then everyone else has to get into it and thus causing the World Wars....  |

True.
But its possible to have no wars if no one starts one.. Wars start because one person tries to rule the world or get some more land, and when that happens everyone else has to fight back. If that person doesn't start it, wars don't happen.

Ah yes... War is a terrible thing, but you will be killed if you dont kill first.. I mean, war is only neccasary when you got some crazy bastard like Hitler skipping around. (Like Silver said)
